Technical Theatre Courses | Playbox Theatre

Led by Playbox Theatre’s Technical director, these sessions give young people complete access to the workings of a performance venue.

Sessions are based around Playbox’s production activities, with all members of Technical Theatre learning hands-on whilst being part of the show in the weekly sessions and, optionally, during rehearsal and performance periods.

We cover lighting, sound, set building, stage management. Whilst the sessions are focused on technical theatre, members are challenged to build teamwork, leadership, practical, and problem-solving skills that can be applied in other areas.
