Workshops are a perfect aid to support the curriculum, an excellent intensifier to consolidate learning, and wonderful pre-exam revision aid.
Workshops can be created to extend knowledge and as a dynamic study-aid, but are also a wonderful way to bring text and theory to life, as well as to encourage enjoyment, develop self-esteem and confidence.
Playbox Theatre’s education team have created workshops across a range of topics, texts and themes, over many decades, and we would love to hear from teachers to discuss how we can develop a meaningful and energising workshop for your group.

Playbox Theatre presents a lively programme of high-quality theatre every year in our beautiful theatre in Warwick. Coming up in 2021/2022 the programme includes Beauty & The Beast, Antigone, The Ancient Mariner, and The Secret Garden, along with Shakespeare and new writing commissions.
For students studying GCSE or A/AS Level Drama & Theatre Studies, we know watching and critiquing live performance is an important part of their understanding and development. We offer pre- and post-show engagement activities including panels and Q&As with the creative team, director and cast, behind-the-scenes tours and workshops based on some of the techniques and processes used during rehearsals. We also offer great group rates and resource packs for teachers.
Do contact us to discuss what might suit your group and we would be delighted to work with you.
