This is a spectacular vision by Shakespeare’s contemporary, Christopher Marlowe (Dr Faustus, Tamburlaine), exploring the horrendous St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre which took place in August 1572 – power; religion; sectarianism and themes that reach directly into our own time. A divided world, a divided nation; Marlowe’s writing at his most epic and powerful.

This play has rarely been performed since its creation in 1593 – be part of something extraordinary this autumn.

Open to members of Playbox’s Acting workshops.
