Each month, members will have the chance to take part in a specialist workshop led by industry professionals, exploring a wide range of skills from stage combat to comedy, physical theatre to voice, and much more. These sessions are completely free to attend as part of your membership, and are designed to broaden your creative toolkit, challenge your imagination, and – most importantly – be loads of fun!
Spaces will be limited each month, so make sure to sign up early. We can’t wait to see you there!
This January, we are thrilled to announce that Hannah Hampson will be running a high-energy Tap Dance Masterclass, designed to introduce members to the rhythm, coordination and sheer joy of tap dancing.
Perfect for complete beginners (and equally welcoming to those with some experience), this workshop will explore the fundamentals of tap – from basic steps and sounds to musicality, timing and performance confidence.
Tap is a fantastic skill for any performer to have – improving rhythm, coordination, musical awareness and confidence, and offering a brilliant foundation for musical theatre and dance performance. Whether you’re trying tap for the first time or looking to brush up on your technique, this session is a great opportunity to get moving and make some noise!
Tuesday 27th January at The Dream Factory
Hannah is a one of our fantastic workshop directors and has choreographed numerous productions for Playbox Theatre including The Addams Family, Tommy and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Hannah also teaches Ballet, Modern, National, Tap and Musical Theatre at Leamington and Warwick Academy of Dance, where she loves sharing her passion for dance with children and young people of all ages. Alongside syllabus teaching, she regularly choreographs for competitions and has led performances at Disneyland Paris.
The Playbox café will be open throughout the evening, serving a range of light meals, snacks and treats.
This is a brilliant chance to try something new and add an exciting skill to your performance toolkit!
