Acting with Truth: Creating Honest Performance with Alfie Jones
This October, we are delighted to welcome Playbox alumnus Alfie Jones – actor, writer and director – for an inspiring Acting with Truth Masterclass, exploring how to bring honesty, depth and authenticity to your work on stage and screen.
Alfie will lead members through a series of dynamic exercises and discussions designed to help you connect truthfully with character, build confidence in performance, and discover how naturalism can empower your creativity. For our older members, the session will also focus on audition preparation – how to make strong choices, find your voice in the room, and deliver your best possible performance under pressure. No prior experience is needed.
Spotlight on Alfie Jones
A former member of Playbox Theatre, Alfie went on to train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and has since worked extensively as an actor, writer, and director across stage and screen. His recent work includes new writing projects showcased at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as collaborations with a range of UK theatre companies.
Now an Associate Director of Playbox Theatre, Alfie is passionate about nurturing the next generation of performers – developing confidence, skill and imagination in every young actor he works with.
