Shakespeare Unlocked invites young performers to dive into the magical, mysterious worlds of Shakespeare through puzzles, and performance.

Participants will uncover hidden clues, characters, and secrets from stories like The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Macbeth, exploring storms, fairies, spells, and strange encounters. Using creative storytelling, the workshop makes Shakespeare accessible, exciting, and full of imagination.

Little Explorers: Lost & Found Adventures

A playful theatre experience inspired by stories of journeys, discoveries, and finding your way.

Through songs, theatre games, movement, and crafts, children will explore imaginative worlds where lost things are joyfully found again. An adventure that encourages curiosity, confidence, and creative play.

The Jungle Book: A 3D Theatre & Design Lab

This immersive theatre-making project brings The Jungle Book to life through a blend of acting, design, and hands-on creativity.

Participants will explore the world of Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, and the jungle itself while creating bold 3D sets, sculptures, and installations. Combining performance with visual design, the project encourages collaboration, imagination, and big theatrical ideas. This workshop will be led by Playbox alumnus Jennie Beattie.

Dinosaurs & All That Rubbish

Stomp, roar, and imagine your way back to a world where dinosaurs rule the land!

An action-packed murder mystery theatre week inspired by the hit TV phenomenon…

We invite young performers to a week of mystery-making, character creation, and theatrical intrigue inspired by the hit TV show, Traitors. Expect secrets, surprises, and a week full of twists and suspense.

Musical Theatre Makers: Performance Bootcamp

An intensive performance project celebrating feel-good musical theatre hits perfect for summer, including favourites from Grease, Mamma Mia!, High School Musical, Sondheim classics, and more.

Performers will develop singing, dancing, and acting skills while working together to create a high-energy showcase packed with sunshine, nostalgia, and show-stopping numbers.

Annie the Musical

A heartwarming musical theatre project bringing the beloved classic Annie to life.

Performers will work together to stage this timeless story of optimism, friendship, and finding family in unexpected places. Packed with memorable songs, lively choreography, and larger-than-life characters, the project will build confidence and performance skills.

A bold and playful exploration of Shakespeare’s most powerful characters…

Young performers will dive into the worlds of heroes, heroines, villains and villainesses through performance, storytelling, and imaginative play. Participants will build confidence, develop acting skills, and bring iconic characters and dramatic moments to life, culminating in a lively sharing that celebrates Shakespeare in a fun and accessible way.

The Farmhouse Theatre

Step into a world of imagination at The Farmhouse Theatre Holiday Project!

Inspired by beloved stories including Charlotte’s Web, The Three Little Pigs, and Fantastic Mr Fox, children will explore storytelling, acting, and character creation. From transforming into their favourite characters with costumes and make-up to helping build their own theatrical set, participants will develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork while bringing these classic tales to life through play, performance, and plenty of farmyard fun.

Through storytelling, games, songs, and crafts, children will blast off on an exciting journey through space, meeting aliens, exploring distant planets, and embarking on cosmic adventures through imaginative play. It’s a playful, creative experience designed to spark imagination and build confidence in our youngest performers.

Fight Lab Junior

An action-packed performance project introducing young performers to the exciting world of stage combat.

Participants will safely learn the fundamentals of stage fighting, build teamwork and performance skills, and create dynamic choreographed scenes for the stage, led by industry professional and Playbox alumnus, Liam Bessell.

Twilight Worlds

A physical theatre and ensemble project inspired by our fascination with vampires, forbidden love, and shadowy worlds, drawing on themes from the Twilight book series.

Through movement, atmosphere, and collaborative storytelling, participants will explore love, danger, and the supernatural while developing ensemble performance and physical theatre skills in a creative and immersive workshop.

Join us for Bears, Beasts & Best Friends, a fun-filled half-day experience for animal-loving young adventurers.

Through storytelling, games, songs, and crafts, children will meet friendly beasts, cuddly bears, and brave animal companions as they bring heartwarming adventures to life through imaginative play. It’s a playful, creative experience designed to spark imagination and build confidence in our youngest performers.

Fight Lab Senior

An intensive stage combat project for older performers, exploring advanced techniques in theatrical fighting and screen-style action.

Participants will develop safe stage combat skills, precision choreography, and strong ensemble work while creating dynamic action sequences that bring drama and storytelling to life. This workshop will be led by industry professional and Playbox alumnus, Liam Bessell.

Staging The Impossible

A two-day theatre-making project exploring how to bring the seemingly impossible to life on stage, inspired by stories such as Skellig, A Monster Calls, and other mythic, magical worlds.

Participants will experiment with movement, storytelling, and creative staging techniques to create imaginative theatrical moments and discover how fantasy and reality can powerfully collide in performance. This project will be led by Playbox alumnus Sammie Horton.

This project celebrates music, performance, and self-expression. We will learn iconic songs from High School Musical, develop choreography and acting skills, building confidence as we work towards a summer-themed performance to share with family members at the end of the week.
