Our Playbox Theatre is holding auditions for a bold, contemporary staging of Sophocles’ Electra.
This intense and emotionally charged production is seeking senior Playbox actors with strong classical instincts, presence, and an excitement for reimagining this harrowing classical text. Directed by Emily Quash, this version will delve into the ancient tale of vengeance, grief, and justice through a modern lens. We’re looking for performers aged 15-19 yrs who are ready to challenge themselves and their audience in equal measure.

In order to audition for Electra, you must be a member of the ACTING workshops at Playbox and you must be available to attend every rehearsal date, in full, without exception. Only open to actors aged 15+.
