We’re delighted to welcome acclaimed dancer and physical theatre practitioner Peter Butler to Playbox Theatre for a dynamic evening of contemporary movement workshops.
Across both sessions, participants will explore a rich range of contemporary techniques designed to awaken the body and spark creative curiosity. Peter will lead members through exercises that develop physical awareness, challenge habitual movement patterns, and open up new ways of approaching dance and performance.
Places are extremely limited – early booking essential!
For older members (12–19), the workshop will delve deeper into characterisation and the manipulation of physicality, integrating these tools into the final phrase. This will allow each performer to begin shaping and developing their own distinct character within a dance and physical theatre context.
These masterclasses promise to be inspiring, challenging, and empowering opportunities to explore the physical body as an expressive instrument.
