Measure For Measure is a really challenging play, and Shakespeare Young Company tackled its confrontational issues with a highly contemporary production, in which the audience were in attendance at a legal hearing, debating the future of Angelo. This production used live video and extensive participation to discover how the play could be examined for 21st century audiences.
At its conclusion, the audience were invited to decide whether Angelo should be parred from future office in a position of power, or acquitted.
