Holiday workshops take place at The Dream Factory in Warwick, ranging from half-day, to weeklong specialist projects. These are open to both members, and non-members, of Playbox Theatre.
Our holiday workshops are a perfect way for young people to be creatively engaged during the school holidays, and to develop skills across a range of performing arts.

The programme of classes available varies throughout the year, and information on this page is continuously updated.
Holiday workshops are themed, and appropriately age-banded. Schedules regularly include Musical Theatre; Shakespeare; Stage Combat; Film-Making; Acting; Dance; Drama School Preparation; Technical; Design; Pre-School Events.
Through songs, games, and colourful crafts, children will explore springtime tales filled with animals, flowers, and imagination. It’s a warm, relaxed session where little ones can sing, play, create, and grow in confidence together.

Through storytelling, games, songs, and crafts, children will bring the much-loved story to life as they swish through grass, splash through rivers, and tiptoe into the cave. It’s a playful, imaginative adventure designed to build confidence in our youngest performers.

Participants will create original work together, deepen their acting craft, and experiment with bold ideas through ensemble-led devising. The focus is on creative risk-taking, collaboration, and discovering new confidence both on and off the stage and will be led by Playbox alumnus Nancy Farino.

This is an opportunity to sing, act, and dance as they explore bold characters, teamwork, and storytelling. It’s an exciting, confidence-boosting project that celebrates being brave, clever, and a little bit rebellious on stage.

An imaginative theatre workshop inspired by the classic tale of the wooden puppet who dreams of becoming real.
Through drama games, storytelling, and creative play, participants will explore Pinocchio’s adventures with Geppetto, the Blue Fairy, and a host of curious characters along the way.

Participants will uncover hidden clues, characters, and secrets from stories like The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Macbeth, exploring storms, fairies, spells, and strange encounters. Using creative storytelling, the workshop makes Shakespeare accessible, exciting, and full of imagination.

A playful theatre experience inspired by stories of journeys, discoveries, and finding your way.
Through songs, theatre games, movement, and crafts, children will explore imaginative worlds where lost things are joyfully found again. An adventure that encourages curiosity, confidence, and creative play.

Participants will explore the world of Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, and the jungle itself while creating bold 3D sets, sculptures, and installations. Combining performance with visual design, the project encourages collaboration, imagination, and big theatrical ideas. This workshop will be led by Playbox alumnus Jennie Beattie.

From towering T-Rexes to sneaky little raptors, we’ll explore prehistoric adventures through stories, movement, and make-believe. A fun-filled theatre workshop packed with dinosaur drama, big imagination, and plenty of ROARS!

We invite young performers to a week of mystery-making, character creation, and theatrical intrigue inspired by the hit TV show, Traitors. Expect secrets, surprises, and a week full of twists and suspense.

Through movement, atmosphere, and collaborative storytelling, participants will explore love, danger, and the supernatural while developing ensemble performance and physical theatre skills in a creative and immersive workshop.

Participants will experiment with movement, storytelling, and creative staging techniques to create imaginative theatrical moments and discover how fantasy and reality can powerfully collide in performance. This project will be led by Playbox alumnus Sammie Horton.

All holiday clubs are hosted in beautiful studios at The Dream Factory, with plenty of outdoor space for participants to get fresh air during breaks. Lunch, or evening refreshments, are included in fees, prepared by Café Whirl.
