Since 1984 when the Fitzwilliam Quartet appeared in that year’s Warwick Arts Week, Richard Phillips has programmed through Warwick Arts Society and now Leamington Music, well over 400 string quartet concerts in the Warwick area. His association with the Fitzwilliam, and Alan George as a founder member, goes back to 1971 when the Quartet was appointed to a residency at the University of York. From 1974-77, the Quartet was resident at the University of Warwick before returning to York.
The Dream Factory, the home of Playbox Theatre, offers an ideal space to host this concert in the round. The award winning building is to be found off the Stratford Road on the outskirts of Warwick and parking is plentiful at the Theatre or in Shelley Avenue.
Arrival: 6.30pm for a glass of champagne
Current Government guidance states that face coverings MUST be worn to concerts; any changes to this will be listed on our homepage.
Please note that concerts might be cancelled if any Government guidance changes; in the event of this, a full refund will be offered.
Leamington Music reserves the right to change artists or programmes if necessary.
