Encounters with Shakespeare’s Lost Children
Across the plays Shakespeare created over 50 roles for children, perhaps the most detailed portraits of childhood explored on the stage. Fathers and sons, masters and servants, mothers and daughters, rebellion at the heart, the core of being a child. Innocence and experience.
In an experimental new production SYC host a procession of interactive encounters with the characters and the plays. Children in Shakespeare take us to the very heart of the mystery.
