Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Café Workers to join our team at Café Whirl. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, prepare drinks and light meals, and ensure the café runs smoothly during busy periods. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and take orders efficiently
• Provide friendly and professional service at all times
• Offer recommendations and upsell products when appropriate
• Handle customer queries and complaints with a positive attitude

Food & Drink Preparation:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks, including espresso-based beverages
• Assist in food preparation, such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads
• Follow food hygiene and safety guidelines at all times

Operations & Teamwork:

• Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately
• Restock and maintain the display areas to ensure products look fresh and appealing
• Assist with cleaning duties, including tables, equipment, and kitchen areas
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service, especially during peak hours

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or similar hospitality role (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and food hygiene standards (training can be provided)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, customer-focused attitude with strong attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

• Barista training or experience using an espresso machine
• Understanding of dietary requirements and allergens
• Stock management and waste reduction knowledge
