Outreach Work/Community Projects

Playbox Theatre Company is proud to undertake exciting projects within the community, and we are always looking out to discover new partnerships and collaborations.

SPECIAL NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR BROWNIES & CUBS!

We are delighted to announce an exciting new way of gaining badges in a unique, imaginative and creative style!

For Brownies, we offer the CIRCUS PERFORMER & BROWNIE ENTERTAINER experiences, and for CUBS/BEAVERS we are introducing the chance to gain IMAGINATION & CREATIVE awards.

Groups take part in a 2 hour theatre event, specially tailored through liason with your staff, exploring theatre and or/circus techniques (depending upon award to be gained). Children will work towards creating a mini-presentation at the end of their time with us, which family and friends are invited to come and see.

All events cater for up to 30 young people and take place at The Dream Factory (we would be happy to talk to you about running an event at your venue, if this would be more convenient).

Cost: £120+VAT

Some of our most recent collaborations during 2005-06 include:

- Production of Philip Ridley’s ‘Sparkleshark’ with The Gap Community Project.

- Collaboration with Warwickshire County Council Fire Department & Artzone to develop anti-arson schools’ tour ‘ACT’.

- Harmony project ~ a series of recitals that were performed to residents of day centres and homes for the elderly across Warwickshire.
